I have an illustrator doing my first book.It seems to be taking forever to see what has been done. My question is... Can I submit book 2 without illustrations, when the book has same characters as book 1?

Hi snuggrug,

Welcome to PDB!!! It's great to have you with us!!!!

Who is publishing your book? Is it fiction? Your publisher has a say in things like that unless you're publishing it yourself through Amazon or Create Space, I would think. If you're publishing it yourself I'd suggest still including a few illustrations in the second one as well.

Again, welcome!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Dorrance Publishing is interestd, they want to see illustrations with manuscript. Will I have a problem if illustrator only wants to do book1 of 5?

Hi snugnrug,

I'm not familiar with Dorrance so I really don't know. Are they paying you or are you paying them? If they're paying you, it might be a problem. If you're paying them, it might not be a problem. To me, I think it should be a problem because children's books need illustrations in my opinion.

I'd hustle and find a new illustrator if you can.

Peggy

Thanks Peggy, They would be paying me. I am going to see if they have in-house illustrators. If not then I will be looking for someone.

Hi Snuggnrug,

I'd suggest you also check into the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Google them on the Internet, and see what they might have to offer.

Database is totally linked with programming as we can do database coding in SQL that is the software used in different fields. To conclude that ukessays review provides you different software so that you can work on it easily.
