Perhaps I am going back a few years, long before there was Keith Urban and Kelly Clarkson. I just bought a new album, yet somehow I don’t know if anyone would appreciate her style of music, actually it is not a new album, but very old recordings,Long before stereophonic and CD’s. Back to when Jazz was Jazz…… and blues where really about blues.
Perhaps it was a simpler time in this country…or the world….yet change was good no doubt….. I am speaking of the one and Only Billie Holliday, I just bought the Essential Billie Holliday, I have been buying the essential Packs for some time now….. I think this one is most likely the best one redone…they really brought her voice out, It is worth buying of course if you like Jazz, or the blues….
Of course Rich would differ with my opinion…he has a hard time with older recordings…..Or Records in General….my old phonograph player finally died last year…. And I have not invested in a new one….Rich was pleased that I could no longer listen to my old albums……I swear I don’t like much of the new music……but…..I am learning…..I now have a 30 gig MP3 Player….and rich has loaded it with allot of my favorite music….unfortunately I could never replace all my stuff…..
