A Review on "John Mayer's album Conituum"

This is a bit older CD. But one that has grown on me, I mean I bought it in 2006 I think, but recently,I can’t stop playing it. I like it a lot. It’s kind of a bluesy, acrostic, soft rock feel, and I think a lot of people would like this album. It’s by John Mayer. It’s called “Continuum” and I think it’s something a lot of people could relate too. Lol, so on with my review.
1. Waiting on the World to Change, 10/10, this song is great, has a nice message, about how we as one world have to make a difference in our world. I like the song a lot, It never stops on my IPod. I play it on repeat a lot, Ironically this was also the first single.
2.I Don’t Trust Myself (With Loving You) 10/10, overall great song, nice lyrics, they make you think, and that is why Mr. Mayer is amazing in my eyes, because he writes such deep words, and amazing rhythms to go along with his power medleys
3.BelIef, 10/10, another great song with a lyric, “what can put an folded flag in a mother’s hand, belief can. A very deep and powerful message in this song, I really love this song, when I first got this album,
I couldn’t stop playing it. It was one of my most fav.s from the album
4.Gravity 10/10; I love this song, one of my most fav.s from the CD, great lyrics, and
in a way very deep, about how life can bring you down if you let it. I love this song so much.
5. Heart of Life 01/10 I hate this song, so boring I mean it has nice lyrics, but such a boring melody in this one. I also couldn’t get in it. But it does have a nice message, just one that wasn’t for me.
6.Vultures, 10/10 another great song, amazing lyrics, about how the world can test you to your fullest,
to try to destroy you and what your truly about, I like the melody in this one, another song that when I got this album I couldn’t stop playing.
7. Stop the Train, 07/10, not a bad song, but not a good one either, it’s in-between. I mean it’s got a great message and them to it, but it’s kinda boring in melody and rhyme. I didn’t hate it, but I won’t say I love it.
8. Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, 10/10, funny thing about this song is, at first listen I hated it. but over many listens it grow on me, and is now my most favorite from this album, defiantly a deep track . with a very strong message about love in this one, but more about breaking up with anything. Although a kind risks a line “you be a bitch because you can, you try to hit me, just to hurt me so you leave me feeling dirty” I like the theme of this song, also musically very bluesy song.
9.Bold As Love ,09/10, good song very bluesy I like the sound of his guitar on this one, about being in love, fun song, It’s probably the funniest song on the whole album. I liked it a lot, with it’s powerful guitar it well stick in your head I grantee
10.Dreaming With a Broken Heart, 10/10, love this song with such deep and heartbreaking lyrics,that I’m sure will make anyone cry, darn they even made my dad cry, almost a country type of song here, very mellow, a true ballad, that will make anyone feel something if they’ve ever had a broken heart. This song also helped me through my broken heart. Love it a lot.
11. In Repair, 10/10, love this song, it’s about getting over someone it’s deep and sweetly put together. I love the lyrics, very powerful song. I think, it’s one of the best songs here on the album. Kinda a pop, but also a very Blues feel in the melody.
12. I’m Gonna Find Another You, 10/10, a great ending to a great album very nice song, about not really moving on but, he’s going to find someone who can replace her, as long as they look the same as her, and also act like her. But also a very good song in the theme. And the lyrics like always with John Mayer, are amazing.
Ok, a little news about John Mayer, he is a singer, songwriter, who has a very unique voice, and amazing on Guitar. He’s been compared to “Jimmy Hendrix” for his guitar Skills, his best albums are “Room for Squares” and “Continuum” he won a Grammy for his song “Daughters” and also has a band called “John Mayer Trio” and he is something everyone can love in music. so check him out….
I’m also a diehard fan, because I own all his Music but as I put before my fav. Albums by him are up there. Already .he also sang recently the song “Say” for the movie “The Bucket List” which is another amazing song and should also be checked out.
