Using Templates
By L. E. Nelson Jr.
I am a newbie here and this may be a very sophomoric question, but . . .Do you use templates to write your stories and novels?
I have a files that I downloaded and have three different templates for book layouts. One is a square book 7.5 X 7.5 so you probably don't want to use that one. I used it for a coffee table book called The Little Shop of Lyrics.
You adjust the margins and gutters, insert page numbers and copy and paste your word files within.
I published a sci-fi novel called Starry Night in a 6X9 (novel size template) and then I wanted to print a few pocket book versions. I copy and pasted the book into 4 X 6 and it was done in seconds. It's a really cute little format and I love it. It costs less to produce, too.
I added a 6 X 9 template that should work for you now. It's pretty simple to use, but refer to my notes further down in this thread for particulars.
Please disregard this thread if you already use templates.
